Yet another Hellgate London patch

On November 8, Hellgate London will be patched again for the 3rd/4th time… well i lost count. We had patch 0, patch 0.1, the Halloween items fix-patch (I don’t know if we can count that as a patch) so that makes the November 8 patch the 4th patch for Hellgate London since it got released last week. The good news is, this time there will be no server downtime, but the patch DLs would be throttled to a certain number of users at a time to make sure that everyone would get the patch without the patch server going down (i think this was the issue yesterday).
Well,An online game getting patched 3-4 times (or even more) during it’s first week is normal, Hellgate London is no exception. Some problems that didn’t manifest during the closed testing and beta phases would start popping up once a game has takes on the gaming market where thousands of different system specs, configurations and environments.

On November 8 at approximately 8:00am PST, we’ll be
releasing a new single player update for Hellgate: London. This update will not
impact our online game servers. There is, however, a chance you will not
immediately see the update tomorrow morning as we’ll be throttling delivery to
ensure a smooth release.
Fixed: Multiplayer starting on a black screen for a
very small percentage of users that applied the 1.40 single player patch.
Fixed: Incomplete downloads for the single player and launcher patches.
Please Note: This update is not a single player version of the Guy Fawkes
patch, what we typically refer to as Patch 0.1. Thanks again for playing!Ivan
