Problem #1 : I need to know what ports Hellgate: London use.
Answer (from incgamers, Carlin) : Hellgate: London Uses TCP port 4306 (remote), (Local) TCP 1235, (Local) TCP 1232, (Local) TCP 1233
Problem #2 : Hellgate London Error message “Error 406 game client too old, install a new one”
Solution : This error occurs for beta players who didn’t get the latest beta update before moving on to the retail. Uninstall your current Hellgate London and Hellgate London beta installation and download the new one or reinstall from the disc.
Problem #3 : Hellgate London wont install in Windows Vista.
Solution : Use the “run as administrator” option when installing.
Problem #4 : Hellgate London Exhausted Memory and Memory Leak problems

Problem #5 : AVG and Avast detects Hellgate London as a virus “Win32:Virut”.
Note : This is a false warning (false positive) from the said anti-viruses. It’s safe to run the game. Hopefully this will get resolved in a future patch or an update from the said anti-viruses.
Problem #6 : Hellgate London Mouse Sensitivity is too slow or unreactive in first person mode.
Solution #1 : Run Hellgate London in DX 9 mode
Solution #2 : Turn of Anti-Aliasing
Solution #3 : Set the in-game sensitivity and Windows mouse sensitivity to high-low or low-high.
Problem #7 : Hellgate London crashes after the splash screen and displays the message - Unrecoverable Error message “The application failed to initialize, perhaps because of corrupted data files. Please reinstall the application and try again.

Everytime I try to install the game I get this error in some form ..
Problem #8 : During Hellgate London’s installation, I get this error message “Error reading file D:\Program Files\Flagship Studios\Hellgate London\MP_x86\hellgate_mp_dx9_x86.exe Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.”
Solution #1 : Install the game in the c:\ drive (or partition)
Solution #2 : Run the game with administrator priviledges
Problem #9 : I have the retail Version of Hellgate: London, and all the characters are highly transparent/translucent/see-through. How do I change this?
Solution: Using the Nvidia control panel, under 3D settings there is a setting called “Antialiasing - Transparency”. That setting has three options: Off, Multisampling, and Supersampling. Turn this setting to “Off”. (scenario and solution provided by solidusprime)
Problem #10 : Hellgate London Installation error regarding the “requirements does not met”
Solution : If you run the program with the compatabilty ioptions as XP sp2 it works just fine.

Problem #12 : Hellgate London Sound Problems / no Sound in Hellgate London.
Solution :
1. Go to control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
2. Under speaker settings click Advanced
3. Select the Performance tab, and reduce the Hardware acceleration from Full to 3/4

Every time I go into Covent Garden Market the game freezes up, the screen goes black, and then comes back with a picture of a shield and two swords criss-crossed in front of the shield. It still has sound, but no video. Any Solution?

I am an admin and it wont let me install in drive c:\ i can do it in drive d:\ anyone got a solution
While trying to collect all the train parts the game crashed (too many memory leaks). Had already given the 1st part to the proper NPC. Rebooted and collected the 2nd part (some sort of battery). Maybe not the proper part?
The point is, the NPC will not collect the part, I cannot get rid of it and I cannot collect another (since I already have one). I am stuck!
Anyway I can drop this thing and restart the collection?
I am stuck at the Monument Station story quest, ...All the Live Long Day. I have found the 1st Missing Train Part, given to Techsmith 99, then the game crashed (memory leaks). Then collected some sort of Train Battery but Techsmith 99 will not take it, I cannot drop it or collect another (maybe the correct) train part. As this is a story quest all I can do is give up after playing for a couple of months.
Can anybody help?

I bought Hellgate London a little while back... brought it home, installed it, and played with no problems. Since then... my computer has received a few minor upgrades and has been reformatted, still running on XP Pro. Now, when I insert the game disc... my cursor blinks a few times as though the drive is reading a disc. Then it stops and nothing else happens. I check My Computer and still nothing. Can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Any ideas?
I installed the game and downloaded it perfectly but the game doesn't play. It just sits at a black screen with the word ''console'' on it and a meter under it. It doesn't change from that screen or anything..Anyone know what's going on? Or have the same problem? Maybe a solution.
Hi , i'v got a problem with my HellGate London version... It gives me this error each time i try to install it , in normal or administrator mode. I'v tried to change the destination of the game with each new install and still doesn't work. I'm running on a Wind7 Enterprise and no i don't use anti-virus.
I got 2 GB / Ram , 1 GB G-Force Nvidia video card and a 4x Cored proc 2.2 each. And i think that beats w/e requierments it needs to install & run properly.
